Delete Your recoveryLocate Account & Data
Applies to the recoveryLocate mobile app and web service.
You can permanently delete your recoveryLocate account and the data associated with it. There are two ways to do this.
Option 1 — In the app (fastest)
- Account owners: open the app and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account, then confirm. This deletes the account and all sub-users on it.
- Sub-users: open Settings → Account and choose Remove My Access to delete your own user and personal data from the account.
Option 2 — Request by email
If you can’t access the app, send us a deletion request and we will process it for you:

This opens an email to info@recoverylocate.com. If the button doesn’t work, email that address with the subject “Account and Data Deletion Request” and include the email address on your account.
What gets deleted
Your profile and contact details, tracked devices and their configuration, location/route history, recorded video and audio, push-notification tokens, and your access credentials are deleted.
What we keep, and for how long
Your account is deactivated immediately. It is then held briefly so you can recover it by mistake, after which it is permanently purged. A limited set of records is retained only where the law requires it — for example billing and tax records (financial/accounting obligations) and any data subject to a valid legal or safety hold. We do not use retained records for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for details.
